Samantha Muhlrad, M.D.
Dr. Samantha Muhlrad is a recent addition to Stony Brook Orthopaedic Associates. Additionally, she is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery within the Stony Brook University School of Medicine.
Dr. Muhlrad received her Bachelor’s degree with Distinction from Cornell University and a Master’s in Nutrition from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, before graduating with her medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine. She then completed extensive postgraduate training at Stony Brook University Medical Center, including an internship, a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery, where she served as Chief Resident, and a fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery.
Dr. Muhlrad has also participated in several research studies in the field of orthopaedic surgery, and has presented her work at society meetings and medical journals. She is currently involved in research related to the non-operative management of arthritis of the thumb.
