Brian Morelli, M.D.
Dr. Brian Morelli currently provides patients with state-of-the-art care in orthopaedic spine surgery at Stony Brook Orthopaedic Associates.
Dr. Morelli graduated Cum Laude with an undergraduate degree in Biology from Harvard University, followed by his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. He completed a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Stony Brook University Medical Center, followed by subspecialty fellowship training at the Spine Institute of New York at Beth Israel Medical Center. There he developed a particular interest in adult and pediatric spine deformity, including scoliosis and kyphosis, advanced cervical and lumbar degenerative surgery, and revision spine surgery.
Dr. Morelli holds the title of Assistant Professor within the Department of Orthopaedics at the Stony Brook University School of Medicine. He is involved in several research initiatives, including an ongoing patient outcomes study. Further, he has interest in medical informatics and website development. Dr. Morelli, board certified in orthopaedic surgery, is a member of several professional organizations, including the North American Spine Society, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, NYS Society of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Medical Society of the State of New York, among others.
